DETECTING MALICIOUS WEBPAGES IN APPLICATIONS (Based on JAVA Technology- 6 months duration)

Project Details:

  • •Mobile specific web pages differ significantly from their desktop counterparts in content, layout, and functionality.
  • •Accordingly, existing techniques to detect malicious websites are unlikely to work for such web pages.
  • •In this project, I have design and implement KAYO mechanism.
  • •KAYO mechanism, a fast and reliable static analysis technique to detect malicious web pages.It distinguishes between malicious and benign mobile web pages.
  • •First, I experimentally demonstrate the need for the mobile specific techniques and then identify a range of new static features that highly correlate with the mobile malicious web pages.
  • •Finally, I build a browser extension using KAYO to protect users from malicious mobile websites in real-time. In doing so, we provide the first static analysis technique to detect malicious mobile web pages.
  • •Requirements: - java as a platform, MySQL database, eclipse IDE, tomcat 6.0, web server and windows operating system.
