Professional Experience
Search.com, Senior Software Engineer
Dec 2025 – Present | Seattle, WA
  • Supported the migration of Direqt’s search platform following its acquisition by Search.com, validating retrieval quality and running regression evaluations to ensure parity between legacy and new infrastructure.
  • Direqt AI Search, Software Engineer
    Dec 2024 – Dec 2025 | Seattle, WA
  • Built and operated a production hybrid search platform (keyword + vector + web) powering RAG-based search with AI summary for ~30 enterprise publishers and ~5,000 queries/day over ~4M crawled documents.
  • Served as the point person for search quality, diagnosing web crawling failures, parsing errors, and search regressions reported by publishers. Converted customer feedback into automated evals and regression tests.
  • Owned search relevance and RAG evaluation. Designed and built an evaluation framework combining LLM-as-a-judge techniques and traditional NDCG rankings to A/B test retrievers, ranking weights, and recency models against production baselines.
  • Direqt, Full Stack Development Intern
    Dec 2023 – Dec 2024 | Seattle, WA
  • Built features for a multi-platform AI chatbot used by 100+ major publishers including Wired, GQ, and Vogue, shipping end-to-end across frontend, backend, and LLM pipelines.
  • Developed a chat evaluation framework to measure LLM response quality and latency, driving a 30% improvement in human-rated quality and 2× faster responses through prompt tuning and retrieval changes.
  • Designed and shipped interactive experiences (quizzes, polls, ads), increasing engagement and monetization.
  • Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science, Web Programming TA
