The project "Providing Educational Support to Underprivileged Children" aims to:

  • •Offered academic resources, mentorship, and skill development opportunities to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • •Created a supportive and inclusive learning environment where children can thrive, focusing on both academic improvement and personal growth.
  • •Raising community awareness about the educational inequalities faced by underprivileged children, encouraging collaborative efforts to bridge the gap.
  • •Collected and preprocessed a labeled news dataset using NLP techniques such as tokenization, stopword removal, and lemmatization, followed by N-Gram and TF-IDF feature extraction.
  • •Trained and compared machine learning models, including Naïve Bayes and LSTM, to classify news as fake or real, focusing on both word-level patterns and sequential context.
  • •Achieved 97% accuracy using LSTM, outperforming baseline models in precision, recall, and F1-score through 5-fold cross-validation and detailed model evaluation.
